Diamond doves are another easy bird to breed. They are prolific breeders and will willingly breed in canary nest pans, wicker baskets, finch nests and even seed pots!! They uaually always lay two eggs, and apparantly they are always a male and a female, though i have never been able to prove this, as this is my first year breeding them! But time will tell.
They eat foreign finch seed, the same stuff as zebra finches eat, but instead of husking the seeds befor ethey eat them, they just eat the whole seed in one. When eatng they often spill lots of seed as they scoop up it up. They are also quite messy birds and are quite hard to keep clean!
